Inkjet printers are better for images. Laser printers will conserve you income in the prolonged run on cartridges, and they print text a great deal better in black and white. Inkjet is generally not the best for Black and White. I am looking to purchase a color laser printer that can print up to 80 lb. cover paper and is 1200dpi. Duplexing would be a plus, but not required. I will largely be printed graphics and text together, sometimes photographic prints.

I never very own one, but I have a good friend who repairs them and the Xerox Phaser sound ink printers are great. It is costly but value per page for color prints is practically the cheapest on the market place.
